Having been nominated by a loyal supporter of the Alton Beer Festival the final three
were chosen and Ysanne and Peter attended the awards ceremony.
Against strong corporate competition in The Wellington Arms and Lainston House, Alton Beer Festival came out top.
Its strategy of local sourcing for the beers and ciders and its 2011 bring your own glass strategy were rewarded with First Prize.
Based in Alton the festivals are on excellent public transport routes enabling visitors to use public transport, share or walk mean the carbon foot print has always been good.
